Who we are

The Sanatan Bengali Cultural Association (SBCA) is a non-party and non-profit community organization of Hindus living in the Regional Municipalities of Waterloo and supporters of Hindu culture and heritage. The Association believes in the principles of social cohesion, harmony, and inclusiveness.

Our Mission

Bringing together families and persons interested in Bengali culture and tradition, irrespective of gender, race, and religion. Preserve Bengali heritage and promote Bengali language, culture, social values, and religious activities among the entire Bengali communities across the Regional Municipalities of Waterloo. Reach out to people of all ages, with particular emphasis on younger people, so that they can join with their elders to understand the rich heritage of the Bengali culture so that its vibrant identity can be passed on to future generations. Sanatan Bengali Cultural Association strives to build a charitable community organization to support the socioeconomically vulnerable and racially marginalized populations, particularly those with addictions and homelessness, and to arrange food bank and used clothes drive for those in the community in dire need.

“I look upon all creatures equally. None are less dear to me and none more dear. But those who worship me with love live in me, and I come to life in them.”
